Herbert Watkins MD is happy to provide comprehensive urology care to men and women

Herbert Watkins MD joined our team of Houston urologists after spending five years in solo practice in northeast Texas. He previously worked in the department of urology at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic for 16 years, much of that time as the vice chairman of the department. Dr. Herbert Watkins brings his leadership skills and patient-centered care techniques to men and women of all ages. He has a special interest in general urology, female urology and endourology. Endourology refers to modernized minimally invasive procedures that offer an alternative to traditional open surgery.

Dr. Herbert Watkins was educated at renowned institutions

Dr. Watkins earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology, graduating cum laude in general studies from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He completed his medical training at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. Herbert Watkins MD moved to Texas for his internship and completed two residencies in surgery and urology, both at the Baylor College of Medicine.

When he isn’t caring for patients, Dr. Herbert Watkins enjoys traveling and excellent food. His philosophy in all parts of his life is, “Do the right thing for the right reasons, and everything else will fall into place.”
