Dr. Baum is an excellent surgeon. I’ve had three procedures with him. All very successful with no complications. In addition, he has an A-Plus personality. Always smiling and putting you at ease from the first encounter. I have to add that his NP, Brandi is outstanding and I like her just as much as Dr Baum.

I drove all the way in from Corpus Christi to visit Dr. Baum and it was well worth the three hours. Heck, I would drive 30 hours to see him. I recently saw Dr. Baum as a new patient. He was kind, full of information, and listened to every question I had. He didn't rush me along and I felt as though he truly cared and wanted to help me. I have had several issues with my urinary system and from the first appointment with Dr. Baum to the most recent one on May 17,2024, Dr. Baum has consistently responded to my needs in a prompt and professional manner. Back in 2010 I had severe kidney pain and swelling. My condition was pre-existing and I had no insurance. A family friend recommended me to this doctor and I leveled with him and explained my physical and financial circumstances. What happened next was something incredible....Dr. Baum moves mountains with his office, payment plans, and also helped reduce the cash pay I would owe to the hospital for my 6 days of recovery. He performed the laparoscopic surgery the following day after meeting him and allowed me to make payments on the balance. (which I did over the next 6 months)This man is nothing short of a miracle and a man of total integrity and care. I can’t recommend someone more highly, or be anymore grateful. Dr. Baum is an absolutely amazing doctor! Back in 2011 I had NO health insurance and I was almost flat broke - he literally worked with both me and my girlfriend to come up with a payment plan and worked with the hospital to get me a "cash discount" so I could afford to stay for the 5 days needed for recovery. I've been going to Dr. Baum since I was 14 and I'm now 22. His father, Dr. Axlerad, was the first doctor to diagnose me with Interstital Cystitis. Every other doctor refused to do a cystocopy on me because they thought I was too young to have anything wrong with me. Once diagnosed, I got the InterStim Implant done by Dr. Baum and he became my primary urologist once Dr. Axlerad retired. Honestly, he has saved my life! He has great bedside manner and he's the best doctor I've ever had. If you want a doctor who is kind and will listen to your symptoms and believe you, then go to Dr. Baum! Dr. Baum is the best! I had a procedure yesterday and although he had surgery at another hospital beforehand, he arrived smiling and welcoming as always. Then, in the middle of our visit in the pre- op room, he received an emergency call, but came back to me smiling and welcoming. He’s just so wonderful to speak with. He calms your nerves and puts you at ease. I would highly recommend him as a an excellent practitioner with great bedside skills. An additional note: all the nurses highly respect him and love to work with him. That’s a telling sign.
