A dedicated urologist and surgeon, Stephen Lapin MD formerly served as the medical director of the urology operating room at The Methodist Hospital. The Association of Operating Room Nurses of Greater Houston awarded Dr. Lapin the prestigious Distinguished Surgeon Award in 2006. Whether he is performing surgery or diagnosing and treating patients with a wide variety of urologic problems, Dr. Stephen Lapin always brings his best to his patients. An esteemed member of our team of Houston urologists, Dr. Lapin has several specialties, including diagnosing and treating prostate diseases, incontinence, erectile dysfunction, kidney stones and prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular cancers.

A Houston native, Dr. Stephen Lapin received a first-rate Texas education

A true Texan, Stephen Lapin MD received his Bachelor of Science degree in zoology, graduating with highest honors from the University of Texas. His medical training, including medical school, internship and residency, all took place at Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Stephen Lapin is also a clinical assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine and Weill Cornell Medical School.

Dr. Lapin balances his work life by spending time with his wife and three children. This Houston Astros fan also likes to bike.
