A good listener and caring physician, Lawrence Baum MD utilizes the most up-to-date technology and equipment to treat men’s and women’s urologic problems. He joined Houston Metro Urology after he finished his urology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. His experience makes him a highly respected part of our group of Houston urologists. Dr. Lawrence Baum specializes in several areas, including laparoscopic and robotic surgeries, enlarged prostate, erectile dysfunction, female stress incontinence, overactive bladder, kidney stone management and no-scalpel vasectomies.

Dr. Lawrence Baum completed his excellent medical training in Texas

Dr. Baum completed his undergraduate education at the University of Texas in Austin. He also completed a Master of Science degree in toxicology at the University of Texas Health Center and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. For his medical degree, he attended the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston. Dr. Baum completed his internship in general surgery and his urology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Our busy urologist has many outside interests

Cuqui, Dr. Baum’s wife, and his two children are a key source of balance in his life. He and his family enjoy outdoor activities, running, swimming and biking. Dr. Baum is also interested in woodworking, fresh and saltwater fly-fishing, scuba diving and surfing.
