Alan Hananel MD is a caring, experienced urologist. He knows that many patients feel uncomfortable discussing their intimate urology issues. One of his main goals is to create a relaxing environment where people feel comfortable enough to share their problems. Once Dr. Alan Hananel diagnoses the issue, he provides men and women with state-of-the-art solutions to help solve their urologic problems. As part of our team of Houston urologists, he offers comprehensive urology services to men and women of all ages.

Dr. Alan Hananel received an impressive education in Texas and Louisiana

For his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and chemistry, Alan Hananel MD attended the University of Texas at Austin. He moved to San Antonio for medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Hananel completed his training in general surgery and his urology residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center/Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans.

Spending time with his family and a variety of other interests keep our urologist busy

When he’s not working to provide exemplary patient care, Alan Hananel MD enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. His outdoor interests include diving, skiing and fishing. Dr. Alan Hananel also likes computers and traveling.
