.1. Dr. Lewitton is very conservative. He manages the patient's BPH with medications as much as possible. He maximozed medical management before ever even consideting surgery. 2. He is very careful about recommending only safe procedures while he is thorough about doing everything that needs to be done to thoroughly investigate a patient's obstruction and 3. He is extremely careful to recommend surgery in anybody and will only do it if it is safe to do. This is as any urologist should be. I was consulted to see Dr. Lewitton 12 years ago. I have had a good experience with him he's professional, courteous, personable and funny at times. He sees me in a timely manner spends appropriate time with me, explains things well and order appropriate test as needed. My GYN was very concerned about my urological problem and questioned certain test that was not done she really scared me so I got a 2nd opinion to ease my mind. I have been consulting Dr. Michael Lewitton for 21 years now...all for regular routine check-ups. My visits, barring none, were very pleasurable experiences. Having consulted with physicians in many countries in Asia, Europe and North America, I can state unequivocally, that Dr. Lewitton is the best by far, in terms of bedside manner, friendliness, courtesy, knowledge, experience, etc. He immediately sets you at ease and takes the fear out of the consultation, even when routine. Dr. Lewitton took the time, effort and concern with me. Prostate cancer even in its early stages can still be scary for patient that doesn’t have any education in this area. Dr. Lewitton explained everything to me in a way that I understood. He took extra time to be certain I understood my options. Where another doctor had seen a concern with my recent MRI with what they thought could be a problem, he did not. When the pathology report came back, Dr. Lewitton was absolutely correct. My tumor was benign. For anybody that’s reading this that has high PSA numbers and wants the best medical care possible, Michael Lewitton, exceeded my expectations. Great doctor! He works with the Houston Metro Urology group (HMUTX.com) He is polite, professional, and very skilled surgeon as well. He removed my prostate in 2018, with robotic surgery. This was my first time seeing a Urologist. As a typical man, this type of appointment was extremely difficult. He really is an exceptional doctor. Many doctors should not be doctors because they dont have the personality for it. This specialty in particular requires a good bedside manner. Dr. Lewitton was an excellent doctor and and example of what a good bedside manner should look like. He's sharp, kind and makes you feel as comfortable as you can under the circumstances. He could tell I was a bit nervous so we talked about life and work for a while before any exam. Best doctor I have seen in a while under any specialty. I had a procedure done about 4 years ago and remember the professionalism and care that I received that you don't get from other doctors and facilities.
