Desiree Benson APRN AGACNP-BC is a board certified nurse practitioner

Desiree Benson APRN AGACNP-BC works closely with Dr. Herbert Watkins at our East Houston and Pasadena clinics. She brings her extensive nursing knowledge and compassionate care skills to men and women experiencing urologic issues. Nurse practitioner Desiree Benson has a wide variety of responsibilities. She does everything from educating patients and assisting with prescriptions to evaluating patient care needs and assisting with surgical procedures as needed. Desiree is a valued member of our team of Houston urologists.

Nurse practitioner Desiree Benson received an excellent education

Desiree received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. She received her Master of Science in nursing, specializing in acute care and surgical nursing, from Walden University. Prior to joining Hoston Metro Urology, Desiree Benson APRN AGACNP-BC spent several years working in the operating room and with patient care management.

Family time and other pastimes keep our board certified NP busy

Before her career in nursing, Desiree Benson was a police officer. She grew up in Pearland, TX. Desiree is married with two sons. She enjoys spending time with her family and attending her children’s extracurricular activities. When she’s not working with our Houston urologists, Desiree enjoys reading, traveling, fostering cats and attending musicals and concerts.
